What does Balance have to do with Weight Loss?

"Our bodies are hard-wired to send us signals when something isn't right, but often we're too busy to hear them begging for attention. Many of us experience signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance every day. Recognizing and treating the subtle signs of hormonal imbalance is essential, yet so many of us have been out of balance for so many years that we don't know how to recognize what "balance" is anymore."

Many of us, especially as we get older, experience residual weight gain; weight that is almost "impossible" to escape no matter how hard we try. One advantage we have in youth is that our body still has the ability to react to outside stressors, but restore its self to a state of healthy balance.

However, over time the micro imprints of daily habits- of thought and action- create pathways in our bodies which can lead to permanent states of hormonal imbalance. As adults it is nut uncommon to work through our daily regimen in a state of overall physiological imbalance. It's well documented that imbalanced hormones can seriously inhibit healthy metabolic function. One of the most effective paths to finding a state of internal balance is a focused and intentional practice of relaxation - like Yoga.
